Hi, I'm Wahkie McGauley!
My journey into photography and videography started right where most of yours probably will, with a phone in my hand and a curiosity I couldn't ignore. What began as mobile photography and videography slowly turned into a full blown passion that led me back to school in my late 30s to earn my Communications degree. Yes, you read that right... it's never too late to bet on yourself!
Over the past 9 years, I've gone from hobbyist to pro, learning everything the real way by doing it. Now I'm here to pass those lessons on to you, without all the trial and error I had to go through.
I created Reel Lyfe Media because I believe everyone deserves to tell their story visually, whether that's with a phone or a professional camera. I teach from a place of real experience, zero judgment, and a whole lot of encouragement. Currently, I'm navigating life with ESRD, and it has only deepened my belief that life is too short not to create, share, and live fully, which is exactly what Reel Lyfe is all about.
